Driven by SOTA undertakings/preparations for 2024 also to be visible in various activations on APRS. I wanted to build a universal battery-operated tracker. The basis is an M6M-+GPS and an Aruino ProMicro with a 18560 Li-ion battery.
A position transmission takes place when the speed is >2km/h or by “manual update” over the “PTT button” on tracker will take place.
I didn’t have to look that long to get various suggestions. The internet is full of many APRS -Arduino solutions. With all the necessary libraries.
I adapted this project to suit my needs. Thanks BILLY
The biggest problem was the serial interface of the GPS, which interfered with the AFSK transmission. A short delay which stops the serial interface during transmission and restart after transmission. That’s it. Running !
